Maryann Corbett grew up in McLean, Virginia. She holds a doctorate in English from the University of Minnesota and is the author of In Code (Able Muse Press, 2020), Street View (Able Muse Press, 2013), Credo for the Checkout Line in Winter (Able Muse Press, 2013), Mid Evil (University of Evansville Press, 2015), Breath Control (David Robert Books, 2012), and the chapbooks Gardening in a Time of War (Pudding House) and Dissonance (Scienter Press). Her poems, essays, and translations have appeared in River Styx, Atlanta Review, Rattle e-issues, The Evansville Review, Measure, Literary Imagination, The Dark Horse, Mezzo Cammin, Linebreak, Subtropics, and others. Her poems have have won the Lyric Memorial Award and the Willis Barnstone Translation Prize. She lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and works for the Minnesota Legislature. She is married to John Corbett, a teacher of statistics and mathematics, and they have two grown children.
Frank Osen was born in Yokosuka, Japan, in 1954, grew up in Southern California, and is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. He worked for many years in law, as general counsel to health care companies and also in real estate investment. He lives in Pasadena, California, and walks to work at the Huntington Library. He and his wife, Susan, have been married for thirty years and have three grown children. Virtue, Big as Sin is his first full-length collection and the winner of the 2012 Able Muse Book Award.
Matthew Buckley Smith’s poems and stories have appeared in AGNI, American Life in Poetry, Beloit Poetry Journal, Best American Poetry, Cincinnati Review, Amazon’s Day One, Fairy Tale Review, Harvard Review, Subtropics, and Threepenny Review. His second book of poems, Midlife, was selected by David Yezzi for the 2021 Richard Wilbur Award. It will be published next winter. His first book of poems, Dirge for an Imaginary World (Able Muse Press, 2012), was selected by Andrew Hudgins for the 2011 Able Muse Book Award..

Ellen Kaufman’s latest poetry collection is Double-Parked, with Tosca (Able Muse Press, 2021), a finalist for the 2019 Able Muse Book Award. Her first collection, House Music, was also a finalist for the Able Muse Book Award (Able Muse, 2013)—a poem from that book won the Morton Marr Poetry Prize awarded by Southwest Review, where it also appeared. Her poems have also been published by Beloit Poetry Journal, Carolina Quarterly, Epoch, Hampden-Sydney Poetry Review, the New Yorker, Poetry Northwest, Salamander, Shenandoah, the Yale Review, and other literary magazines. Twice a MacDowell Fellow (2009 and 2013), she holds an AB from Cornell, and MFA and MSLS degrees from Columbia University. Formerly a poetry reviewer for Library Journal, she now reviews for Publishers Weekly. She lives near Straus Park in upper Manhattan.~ ~ ~
