One-sentence bios of the readers in the order that they will read:
Dominican- born Rhina P. Espaillat is a bilingual poet, short-story writer, essayist and translator who has founded successful workshops, published 17 books, teaches creative writing to both adults and adolescents, and is a frequent speaker at schools and other cultural centers.
Michael Cantor, whose second book, Life in the Second Circle (Able Muse Press, 2012) was a finalist in the Able Muse Prize and and 2013 Massachusetts Book Award for Poetry, has a third collection of poetry, Furusato (Kelsay Books, 2019) (draft, Michael may edit this).
MFrostDelaney is a bean counter by trade, a tree hugger in heart and a recovering soul, who practices life in New England, and is a member of Powow River Poets.
Jean L. Kreiling, the author of two collections of poetry, was recently named Professor Emeritus of Music at Bridgewater State University.
Alfred Nicol’s most recent publication is the chapbook Brief Accident of Light: Poems of Newburyport, a collaboration with poet Rhina Espaillat, published in 2019 by Kelsay Books.
Anton Yakovlev's latest book of translations is The Last Poet of the Village: Selected Poems by Sergei Yesenin (Sensitive Skin Books).”
Paulette Demers Turco, editor of the new Powow anthology, joined the Powows in 2018, the year her first chapbook, In Silence, was published by Finishing Line Press.
